How subscriptions work
Muse Mail is meant to feel like getting a thoughtful letter — not a contract. Here's the plain-language version of how billing, pausing, and cancelling work.
Subscriptions auto-renew every month
When you subscribe, your card is charged on the same day each month ($10.80 Small or $30 Large) and a new themed package ships to you. Your subscription continues automatically until you pause or cancel.
Pause or cancel anytime from the customer portal
Every Muse Mail email has a Manage Subscription link that opens the Shopify customer portal. From there you can pause, skip a month, update your address, or cancel. No fees, no phone calls. You can also just email me at lauren@musemail.club.
The billing-date rule (read this one)
- If you pause or cancel before your billing date, you will not be charged and you will not receive the next month's print.
- If you're charged on your billing date and then pause or cancel, that month's print still ships to you. You won't receive any future prints until you reactivate.
- Example: If your bill date is the 17th and you pause or cancel on the 17th, you will NOT receive the following month's print.
- Traveling? Pause before your billing date if you want to skip a month.
Final sale & refunds
- All prints are final sale — no returns or refunds on prints.
- There are no refunds on subscriptions.
- If you cancel, you're only charged for the current month and won't be charged again once that billing cycle ends.
